UPPERROOM church’s recent cover of the song “To The One Who Is Seated on the Throne” glorifies God’s place on His throne. Beautifully, it reminds us of the authority and sovereignty of our Creator and Lord. Scripture reminds us of God’s hand over all of creation. Even so, it can be easy to lose sight of God in the midst of our earthly troubles. I want to remind you today: God is seated on the throne of grace, aware and present with us. Because of Jesus, we’re seated in heavenly places!
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6-7)
“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19)
God’s ruling hand
You are not too far from God’s ability to supernaturally intervene on your behalf! He is Lord over all creation and your Father. He wants a relationship with you. His desire is to know you deeply. If there is warfare around you, run to your Father! When you cannot seem to figure out how peace could prevail where you are, look to your Father. His ruling hands possess all the answers, resources, and strength that you need.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
Approach God’s throne with confidence. Grace and mercy are waiting for you.
Father, I pray that this reader’s spirit is steadied, remembering that you are Lord. Let them come alive in your presence this week, amen!
