Christian actress Candace Cameron Bure pleas for help for families in need during the Christmas season.
Candance Cameron Bure
Candace Cameron Bure has collaborated with The Salvation Army to help millions of families in need during this Christmas season. The actress noted that Christmas is her most favorite time of the year because, during this time, everyone is celebrating Jesus Christ.
“Christmas is my favorite time of year for so many reasons. The biggest reason is that we celebrate Jesus Christ,” Bure told The Christian Post. “It can be a hard season for so many people and that’s why the work that I help do with The Salvation Army is so important — because there are so many people in need, especially during the holidays.”
Families in need
However, millions of families find themselves in need during this season due to homelessness, hunger, and the pandemic. Thus, the 44-year-old actor is doing what she can do to help alleviate the burden for those families.
“While it’s a time of giving and should be a time of cheer, it can be very, very heartbreaking, especially for people who are struggling. Whether that’s financial, whether it’s just circumstances that they’re in — homelessness, needing food, just needing help and daycare, and now with the pandemic, of course, that need has gone up.”
The Salvation Army has seen a 50% decrease in donation, but want to help more people during the Christmas seasons.
As ab ambassador for the organization, she is pleading with everyone to help those in need. She also emphasized that despite what we’ve been through this year, Christmas isn’t canceled.
“Christmas isn’t canceled,” the actress declared. “We still want to be there to help. So we’re asking you to help us rescue Christmas to serve those in need.”
