Christian missionary Troy Brewer reveals the darkness of child trafficking and how to stand against it as people of God.
Human Trafficking
In an episode of Get Real with Ron Cantor, Troy Brewer talks about sex trafficking, particularly, child human trafficking. Sex trafficking is a big problem in different countries and most of the victims are children.
Troy and his ministry have been fighting against human trafficking and have been saving children from predators since 2001. The pastor and author shares one important secret on how they were able to save many children.
“All they need is a dad,” Troy shared. “All they need is for a man not to abuse them, all they need is for the people of God to actually be Jesus to them.”
Sex Trafficking
Troy then continued to urge the Christians to stand up and fight against sex trafficking. Because when the children of God won’t stand up for the slaves, no one else will fight for them.
“There should be no place anywhere within any civilized society that says, ‘It’s okay to be sexually active with children,’ no place! If the people of God do not step up and they do not own that responsibility, there’s nobody else coming.”
Troy then revealed the dark truth about pedophilia and sex trafficking. It is not a fantasy and it will ruin the lives of the victims. On top of that, the consequences at stake for that sin are great.
“It’s not a fantasy, it’s not something that doesn’t do any harm. It’s not something that doesn’t really mean anything. No, it means something. And the repercussions of it are severe, and they need to be.”
Modern-Day Slavery
Modern-day slavery is real and it’s happening in some parts of the world right now. As people of God, we are called to save lives, we are called to save the lives of the people enslaved.
“There’s more slaves alive right this second on the planet Earth in slavery than have been slaves throughout all of history.”
Let us hate pornography since it’s the common thing that feeds the lust of men. And let us hate slavery because Jesus surrendered His life on the cross to free the slaves. Be the man who has the fear of the Lord.
“That’s what the fear of the Lord is, it’s when you love what God loves and when you hate what God hates. Brother, we need to hate pornography, we need to have a holy hatred for any kind of slavery.”
