After over a year, a man battling COVID leaves the hospital and praises God for his miraculous healing, saying it’s “a true blessing.”
Diagnosed With COVID
In August last year, Weaymon “Dub” Crochet from Houston, Texas, was rushed to the hospital due to an illness. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed him with COVID. Since then, he had to stay at the Houston Methodist in Texas Medical Center, then at Houston Methodist Continuing Care Hospital for a long time to be treated.

Weaymon’s battle with the COVID virus hit him so hard. But amidst the journey, family, friends, and church family stormed heaven with their prayers. And God was faithful to answer their prayers because, after 453 days, he was discharged.
Leaving Hospital, A True Blessing
When Weaymon left the hospital, medical staff, friends, and family prepared a celebratory initiative for him. They gathered and formed a line from the elevator to his car to bid farewell and express their congratulations after his extended stay at the hospital.

The COVID survivor couldn’t be more grateful for the medical staff who became a family during his stay.
“The doctors and nurses couldn’t be a better group of people,” he said. “I’ve never seen that many people work together and enjoy each other. Friends, can’t go through life without friends. Church is priority. And my family, God bless them. They’re my rock.”

Meanwhile, Weaymon’s wife, Rachel, described her husband as “a miracle.” Apparently, many people said, “there was no way he could survive.” But she kept declaring for a miracle that, “Nope, he’s walking out of here. He’s walking out of here!” And indeed, her declaration came to pass.
Weaymon praised God for giving him a second chance at life. Although he still has a long way to go in his recovery, he is already thanking God for everything.
“This is a true blessing,” he remarked. “God [gave] me all his angels to get me out of here.”
