A pastor’s wife surprised her husband by thanking God despite having a hard time battling cancer. Her attitude has taught those surrounding her to trust God through it all.
Pastor’s Wife
Lito Solorio, the lead pastor of Countryside Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas, shared a powerful reminder for everyone. And his message comes from his experience facing his most challenging year yet.
“This past year, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. It has been the hardest year of our family’s life,” he shared. “She had to have a double mastectomy. We had weeks and weeks of chemo.”
Despite suffering from the disease, his wife, Tiffany, remains faithful and hopeful in the Lord, as revealed by Pastor Lito. “My wife continued to want to serve the Lord and go with our middle and high schoolers because she believes in the message of Jesus Christ. She wants to pour into the young people.”
Moreover, Tiffany even thanked God for the battle she had been facing.

Trust in God through it all
“Early on in the cancer battle,” Pastor Lito continued. “She had texted me. She was thanking God that she was chosen.”
This left Pastor Lito baffled. He asked her again, “You’re thanking God for having cancer?”
But Tiffany was confident in the Lord. She said, “Yes. God is going to do His work through me. He’s chosen me.”
Her faith and trust in God inspired Pastor Lito tremendously. She had taught him to trust in God through it all.
As a result, Pastor Lito encourages everyone to do the same. He challenged his listeners with their trust in God. He asked, “What are you going through? What is your trial that’s leaving you questioning that God’s compassion never fails? How are you trusting God to say great is Your faithfulness?”
His message hopes to inspire everyone to trust God despite every challenge and trial because He holds the greater plans for us.
