Are there things you’re believing God for, but have not seen them come to pass yet? If you’re in a waiting season, I want to tell you how to do it well, because waiting season, sometimes it’s got this bad connotation on it like, “I’m waiting on the Lord,” but there’s so much beauty in the process. There’s so much beauty in waiting with the Lord, not on the Lord, waiting with Him. I want to lay it out for you, of how we can be in a waiting season, how we can believe for healing if we haven’t seen it manifest yet. How we can believe for promises fulfilled in our lives. How we can believe that the word of God for our life is true even if our situation isn’t exactly where we want it to be right now.
And here it is, I’m going to lay it out for you. And it is not Kate’s words, but it’s the words of God, the word of God. Okay? I actually want to read the scripture to you, so you know it’s coming from the word of God. If you have your Bible, go to Psalm 37, and I’m going to read verses three through seven, and I would love for you to see it with your own eyes. It’s literally a list.
It says in verse three, “Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture,” verse four, “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” There you go. Then verse five, “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him.” It says trust in him again, “and he will do this.” They’re trying to tell us something here, right? Verse six, “He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun,” and verse seven, “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.”
Guys, they listed this out for us. They said trust in the Lord twice. And then it says, commit your ways to the Lord, to delight ourselves in the Lord, and he will give us the desires of our heart. And a lot of times our timing is not necessarily God’s timing. So in that waiting season, in that season of where we have choices of if we’re going to trust, or if we’re going to delight, or if we’re going to commit, or if we’re going to be still and be patient, amen? God is good.
Hold on to that. He is our help. Anchor your hope in Him today.
Lord, I just lift up my friends right now who are watching. I thank you that if they are going through a waiting season, that you would increase their capacity to love you more, to delight themselves in you, to trust in you, to commit their ways to you and to be still before you and wait patiently on you and with you in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
