UFC Fighter Robert Whittaker has dropped out of UFC 248 in order to donate bone marrow to his daughter.

Robert Whittaker has been an Australian professional mixed martial artist since 2009. He is a part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). A former UFC Middleweight champion and, as of November 2019, the top in the UFC middleweight rankings.
Recently, he made headlines for dropping out of the UFC 248. His reason for making the decision will melt your heart!
Announcement of dropping out
However, Robert made the announcement that he won’t be participating in the Las Vegas event in an Instagram post. Along with his touching announcement he included a photo with his daughter Lilliana.
“I’m sorry to all my friends, supporters and family for not being able to fight in March,” he wrote. “A lot has happened over the 12 last months and I need to take some time now to be with my family, slow things down and to refocus.”

Donate bone marrow to daughter
It was revealed that the reason he dropped out of the fight is to be able to donate bone marrow to his sick daughter.
“But I’ll tell you this when you talk about somebody whose priorities are in the right place, who is completely selfless and down to the core and a good human being, that’s Robert Whittaker. The reason Robert Whittaker is not fighting in this fight is one of the most unselfish things I’ve seen in my life. He’s a good man, he’s a good human being. And I have a lot of respect for him,” Dana White, UFC President, said.
