Despite the tragedy that is happening in Ukraine at the hands of Russia, some Ukrainian Christians who have been displaced continue to respond in beautiful worship, singing Bethel’s “Goodness of God.”
Ukraine Amidst Invasion
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine brought destruction and trauma to the country. Not just with its infrastructures but also with the Ukrainians. Because the war forced millions of people to evacuate and leave their homes. They had to flee to neighboring countries to protect themselves from the ongoing conflict. Hence, the damage could not only be seen as physical. But also with the mental and emotional well-being of the people.
But despite the horrible events that unfolded with Russia’s invasion, many Ukrainians remain hopeful. These hopeful people are Christians who are responding in faith and love amidst the confusion and tragedy of the war. They are chosing to fix their eyes on Jesus, trusting God with everything. As a result, reports of miracles and supernatural signs are happening in Ukraine and making headlines. In one viral video, some of these believers from Ukraine continued rejoicing in God through beautiful and powerful worship.

Goodness Of God
In a post shared by the YouTube channel Truth Frees, a video of Ukrainian Christians singing a worship song captivated hundreds of thousands. The group of believers from Kyiv, including pastors and saints, sang Bethel Music’s “Goodness of God.”
With the song’s powerful lyrics, they declared together:
“I love Your voice, You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night, You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a Father, I’ve known You as a Friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God.”
Believers in Ukraine didn’t back down and still declared God’s goodness even in the middle of the storm. May this video also inspire you and encourage you to keep on trusting in the Lord no matter what. And continue to stand and pray with Ukraine in these trying times.
