Renowned theologian Tim Keller is battling the side effects of his cancer treatment, as announced by his son on social media. “We deeply covet your prayers at this time,” Michael Keller shared.

Doctors diagnosed the Redeemer Presbyterian Church founder with pancreatic cancer last May 2020. And since then, the Keller family has been supportive in helping former pastor Tim recover from his ailment.
Last month, the 71-years-old shared how the chemotherapies have reduced the stage 4 cancer and thus, extended his life. “God has seen it fit to give me more time,” he said.
They previously announced that they would be receiving a new medical treatment, the immunotherapy trial. “This has shown great promise in potentially curing cancer, though it is a rigorous and demanding month-long program.”
Tim added, “Your continued prayers for truly miraculous effects of the procedure and minimal side effects would be very much appreciated.”
Prayers are needed
And today is when Tim’s prayer requests should be realized as he is having difficulty with the procedure’s side effects.
“Dad is currently dealing with the side effects of an immunotherapy treatment that he is undergoing,” Michael shared on Tim’s official Facebook account. “We ask that you continue to pray for Dad’s healing. And for the decisions of his doctors and medical team who continue to provide excellent, compassionate care.”
Tim’s friends and loved ones have also shared the same prayer request with others. It includes Pastor Scott Sauls, who sees Tim as his mentor.
Christ Presbyterian Church Pastor Sauls urged his followers on social media to pray for his fellow worker in Jesus. “Friends, please pray for Tim Keller as he contends with some serious health complications,” he shared. “Pray also for Kathy, their three sons, and their grandchildren, for the Lord’s comfort and care.”
