Gianna Bryant’s Best Friend Tells Vanessa Bryant: ‘I’m Praying For You Constantly’

A best friend of the late Gianna Bryant, who passed away with her father Kobe Bryant last year, sent a sweet letter to Giann’as mom Vanessa Bryant, telling her that she constantly prays for her.

In a post by Kobe Bryant’s wife, she revealed a long letter sent by Aubrey Callaghan, one of Gianna’s best friends.

She wrote, “Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey. I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you). Thank you so much for beautifully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi with me. And allowing me to share them here on my ig.”

In the letter, Aubrey said, “Dear Mrs. Bryant, I am thinking and praying for you constantly.”

Then the young lady recalled all her moments with Gianna when she was still alive. She told the mother what an amazing person her daughter was. She left a beautiful legacy that everyone will treasure in their hearts.

“I can say that she changed our lives. Her simple actions made all of us a better person. And I believe that the results of this will never stop appearing,” she remarked.

Commending The Mother

Further, Aubrey added, “I hope that in the midst of your intense sadness you catch a glimpse of joy in who the daughter you created and raised was.”

She thanked her for raising Gianna well, telling her how “blessed” she is that she got to have the time with her daughter.

“Thank you for giving me that chance. I love you and am thinking of you as we remember and honor her life,” the teen said.

Today marks the first anniversary of the death of the late NBA star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others who passed away in a helicopter crash in Southern California. Although they’re gone, their impact on people’s lives will forever be cherished.

Gianna’s best friend did such a great job showing God’s care and love to the Bryants. God is good!

On April 19, Vanessa Bryant, the late Kobe Bryant’s wife, celebrated their Wedding Anniversary with her survived children.

The sweet wife shared a series of post on the day of their wedding anniversary to commemorate her late husband and their love.

Commemorating Kobe Bryant

First, Vanessa shared a video clip of Kobe in 2001 responding to the question, “What made Vanessa the one?” She wrote, “My LOVE ❤️My HEART.” In the interview with MTV News, the late Kobe said, “You know, it’s hard to pinpoint what exactly makes a person the one for you. But you just know.”

Further, he described Vanessa as a real tough and strong-willed woman. And when asked how he would see them both in the future, he jokingly said they would become cool parents.

“Young parents, full of energy. She has a ton of energy and I have a ton of energy,” he said in the interview.

Wedding Anniversary

In the second post, Vanessa shared a photo of her with Kobe as a couple. She captioned, “My king, my heart, my best friend. Happy 19th wedding anniversary baby. I miss you so much. I wish you were here to hold me in your arms. I love you.”

It’s evident how the survived wife is still grieving the late NBA star’s absence.

And on the third and last post for that day, the widow shared a picture of beautiful red roses and a pink floral bouquet. She wrote “Anniversary flowers from my Kobe. ❤️????????????” Apparently, it was her eldest daughter Natalia who gave the flowers on behalf of their late dad. Also, the pink floral bouquet came from their thoughtful friends.

The Tragic Helicopter Crash

Kobe Bryant and her daughter Gianna shocked the whole world with their sudden passing on January 26 this year. Everyone could hardly believe the news of the helicopter crash, especially their families.

Of course, Vanessa was devastated losing both her adoring husband and 13-year-old daughter at the same time. In her first public statement after the tragedy, she called the bizarre situation as “horrific time.” But despite the devastation, she thanked the millions of people who supported them in prayers.

Moreover, during the tribute for Kobe and Gigi at the Los Angeles Lakers home court in February, she vulnerably expressed her grief and sorrow in front of 19,000 people.

Today, the widow is obviously and rightfully still grieving her loss, together with Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. She often posts photos of Gigi and Kobe on Instagram whenever she misses them.

The late NBA Star now belongs to Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2020 as declared on April 5.

Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late NBA star Kobe Bryant was “absolutely devastated” after hearing the news that Los Angeles deputies publicly shared the helicopter crash site photos.

In Vanessa’s recent Instagram post, she shared her lawyer, Gary C. Robb’s official statement regarding the leakage of the helicopter crash site pictures. Noting the correction that it was Los Angeles County Fire Dept (LACoFD) and not the LAFD KANSAS CITY, Mo. that was the department at issue.

According to her post, she personally went to the Sheriff’s office on January 26th. She requested “that the area be designated a no-fly zone. And protected from photographers.”

Vanessa Bryant Desires To Protect The Dignity Of Victims

She revealed that she wanted to protect the dignity of not just her late husband and daughter, but also all the victims and their families.

Further, it was declared that “At that time, Sheriff Alex Villanueva assured us all measures would be put in place to protect the families’ privacy. And it is our understanding that he has worked hard to honor those requests.”

However, the photos of the crash site still emerged. Vanessa was not happy. Hence, she is taking legal action.

Breach Of Duty

In the statement, her lawyer also wrote, “First responders should be trustworthy. It is inexcusable and deplorable that some deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s substation, other surrounding substations and LACOFD would allegedly breach their duty.”

The lawyer described such breach as violation of “human decency and respect.”

Also, violating “the privacy rights of the victims and their families.”

And they are requesting the Internal Affairs to investigate who are responsible for the leakage of the crash site photos. Furthermore, they also want to bring down the photos.

The alleged incident made Mrs. Bryant disappointed. But she is also grateful. She thanks “the individual who filed an online complaint exposing these acts of injustice. And for the choice to protect human dignity.”

In a tribute for the late Kobe and Gianna Bryant at Los Angeles Lakers home court on Monday, Vanessa Bryant courageously gave a moving speech in front of 19,000 people.

The tragic helicopter crash on Jan. 26 that took the lives of Kobe, Gianna and seven others shocked the world but most especially the families of those who died. Vanessa kept her silence for many days after the heartbreaking news broke out. But shortly after, she revealed her devastation through an Instagram post.

And recently, on Monday, she bravely faced the public and vulnerably shared her heart in front of 19,000 people. On the center stage, in a darkened arena, she gave tribute to her late husband, Kobe Bryant, 41, and their 13-year-old daughter, Gianna while in tears. The widow first talked about her daughter before telling about Kobe.

“My baby girl. Gianna Bryant is an amazingly sweet and gentle soul,” she could hardly get the words out through her tears.

Vanessa then went on recounting how Gianna was an amazing daughter.

She revealed how Gigi wanted to be “the best player in the WNBA.” Because the young girl wanted to make “a huge difference for women’s basketball.”

“Gigi was motivated to change the way everyone viewed women in sports. She wrote papers in school defending women and wrote about how the unequal pay difference for the NBA and WNBA leagues wasn’t fair,” she said.

The grieving wife then moved to tell of her husband, Kobe Bryant. She said that even though the world views Kobe as “the greatest of all time, a writer, an Oscar winner and the Black Mamba,” she never looked at him that way.

“I couldn’t see him as a celebrity nor just an incredible basketball player. He was my sweet husband and the beautiful father of my children. He was mine. He was my everything,” described Vanessa.

“..I was his first girlfriend, his first love, his wife, his best friend, his confidant and his protector.”

The mother then recounted on their beautiful love story as a couple. How the NBA star put his family first despite the fame and spotlight.

Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow, expressed her devastation in a recent Instagram post, pleading that “this nightmare would be over.”

Vanessa wrote in the caption of the video she posted, “I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone.”

Vanessa admitted she still can’t grasp the thought of losing her husband and daughter forever. And how she can’t process both losing them at the same time.

“It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong. Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad,” she said.

The post Vanessa shared to her Instagram was Gigi’s short video clips playing basketball. Kobe Bryant was also in the video coaching their precious daughter behind the scene.

However, despite the mother’s devastation for her loss, she realized she had to be strong for her three daughters that were left with her.

“Then I realize I need to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters,” added Vanessa. “Mad I’m not with Kobe and Gigi but thankful I’m here with Natalia, Bianka and Capri.”

But this nightmare in her life doesn’t stop her from caring about others. She revealed the reason why she was so candid on social media.

“I know what I’m feeling is normal. It’s part of the grieving process. I just wanted to share in case there’s anyone out there that’s experienced a loss like this,” she said.

Then she ended her caption telling God how she wished Kobe and Gigi were still alive. And asking everyone to pray for all the victims of the horrible accident.

“God I wish they were here and this nightmare would be over. Praying for all of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Please continue to pray for all,” Vanessa concluded.

Kobe Byrant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, released her first statement since the tragic accident that killed her husband and daughter.

On January 26, Kobe, her daughter Gianna and seven others were involved in a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of everyone on board. The group was on the way to the Mamba academy for a basketball tournament. Gianna was expected to play on the tournament and Kobe was expected to coach his daughter’s team.

Statement

Kobe’s widow, Vanessa, remained silent for a couple of days until she released her first statement on January 29. She posted her statement regarding the death of her husband and daughter on her Instagram account. Vanessa thanked everyone for the prayers for her and her three daughters.

“My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them.” Vanessa wrote in the Instagram post along with their family photo. “We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.”

“Keep pushing”

The 37-year-old widow expressed her grief and sadness over the death of her loved ones and for the ones who were with them. But she assured everyone that she and her daughters would keep on pushing on despite what happened.

“I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless,” she added.

To continue the legacy of Kobe, Vanessa is encouraging everyone to take part in the MambaOnThree Fund. The fundraiser helps support the other families that also lost their loved ones in the crash.
