A young lady bravely shared how God met her in the darkest moment of her life wherein suicide, porn, and sin was her lifestyle. He never gave up on her!

Suicide, Porn, And Sinful Life

Julie Adams grew up in a Christian family and grew up in the church but never had a real relationship with God. She gave her life to Jesus but didn’t mean it.

In middle school, she began to get bored with faith and turned to worldly entertainment. She drifted away from her faith and would church hop and not pay attention to services.

Then during high school, she was introduced to a world of immorality. Thus, she learned to swear with her words and watch porn. Julie also started to become confused when she learned of a same-sex couple and having sex before marriage. As a result, she thought she might be a lesbian and began pursuing girls. At 16, she got addicted to porn and did masturbation for a long time.

Depression

After graduating high school, Julie fell into a deep and dark depression. She had anxiety, panic disorder, and PTSD as well. It became the darkest days of her life. The teen was suicidal and cannot function as a human properly. Alcohol also became her safety net. She even thought of crashing her car to kill herself.

During college, she dropped out of school and came to a point where she didn’t believe in God anymore.

In September 2018, she went to Europe and had her first night club, where she got sexually assaulted. It became a turning point in her life.

A month later, Julie started going to church a few times while still taking meds for her depression and anxiety. But that’s when she began to find hope. Then during one service, in an altar call, she decided to give her life to Jesus so she could prove that He really does exist.

Encounter With God

While sitting and praying, all of a sudden, she felt all the heavyweight come out of her. Her depression and anxiety lifted out of her.

“It was the most surreal experience I will never forget in my whole life. It literally felt like someone was just pulling it out of me. Like every single strand of depression and anxiety, PTSD,” she recalled. Later on, she went through a lot of process for her growth, but she overcame because of God’s grace. When she came to know the Lord genuinely, she prayed a lot about her addictions. She repented, got on her knees, and cried over it because it was taking over her life.

Today, Julie relies on God amidst her struggles. During the quarantine, she spent most of her time with God and got to know Him more. And she says she feels like a new person. Julie has found her worth in God!
