God created us to live forever. Sin came down and death cut off the gift of eternal life. However, God is eternal which means He has no beginning and no end, and thus for Him, there is no past or future since everything is in the present. This is the way we should live like there is no past or future. To live in the eternal now is to live in the presence of God. How wonderful it is to know that we can all avail ourselves of eternal life now through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. There are only two conditions. We confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that through God He rose from the dead (Romans 10:9).
The Holy Spirit convicts each person of their sins and leads them to repentance. As a result, He opens our blind spiritual eyes to see the work of Christ on the Cross, where Jesus said, “It is finished!” So the case against us is now closed. Satan has no more power over us. We do not perish from sin so we serve the Lord. Sin lost its power over us and now we live in resurrection power to overcome sin. Jesus paid the price and now we live in freedom. This simple message can deliver anyone from death to experience eternal life now. Why then do so many reject this message?
Consequently, many hear the message and feel it is too easy. God created us and now redeems us through His own power. There is no other power that can deliver us from slavery to sin. However, a heart change is required for us to receive this deliverance from sin. Therefore, God needs to replace our heart of stone with a heart of flesh. Let the Holy Spirit open your eyes to see and believe and receive eternal life now. There is no greater life than freedom from the fear of death and living in the abundance of eternal life. Finally, money or good works cannot buy this life. It is a free gift to those who believe seek salvation.
