My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned by the Lord Jesus – the work of telling others the Good News about the grace of God (Acts 20:24).
The Message Translation reads “But there is another urgency before me now. I feel compelled to go to Jerusalem. I’m completely in the dark about what will happen when I get there. I do know that it won’t be any picnic, for the Holy Spirit has let me know repeatedly and clearly that there are hard times and imprisonment ahead. But that matters little.
What matters most to me is to finish what God started. It is the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly extravagant generosity of God (Acts 20:24). The grace of God wants the whole world saved and that none should perish. Our Heavenly Father wants everyone saved for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Strategies for the Work of God
Here in this message lies strategies for finishing the work God has assigned to you and me. It is time to pick up your Kingdom assignment and tell others about the grace of God, go to the Promised Land, go forward in faith, roll out the reconciliation plan, roll out the Great Commission, even though you may not know what will happen when you get there, still go. The Holy Spirit is present with you to lead you into all truth, he will prepare you for the hard times and imprisonment ahead and He will rescue you, provide for you and He promises to save you.
The Holy Spirit knows the future and He will give you the plans and the path to follow. You will need to prioritise; hard times and imprisonment are minor matters. Focus on the important matters, the important things. Finish what Jesus started. Tell everyone with ears to hear and eyes to see about the incredible extravagant generosity of God. Tell everyone about the Good News about Christ.
It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes-the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life” (Romans 1:16-17). You can tell everyone about the love of God, the goodness of God and tell everyone about the grace of God! The Good News is the power of God to save the whole world.
