The Latent You
We all know that this life is the only one we have, so it’s curious that so many of us live as if that were not the case. And we are often The latent you.
We all know that this life is the only one we have, so it’s curious that so many of us live as if that were not the case. And we are often wasteful with time and people, often focus on things that have no eternal value, ignore our identity and prioritize the superficial.
Why?
Many times it’s because we are preoccupied with the lives of others. We think the “grass is greener” elsewhere.
It’s true that everyone is an amazing being, but only as the person they were created to be.
When we try to mimic others we lose the outworking of our own identity/destiny and purpose. Comparison is a thief and a pulverizer of dreams. Stop indulging in this corrosive practice.

You were created as an extraordinary and unique individual and God longs in the depths of His being that you would own that person and live that life. That creation (YOU) is so profound and so much greater than the person you think you want to be, the person you have become by default or the person you want to imitate.
There is only one of you in the whole of human history. The world needs authentic you. The whole of creation yearns to see the manifestation of God’s glorious sons and daughters (see Romans 8:19).
Who were you before everyone else told you who to be?
Let the walls come down, surrender to the loving embrace of Jesus, utterly trust Holy Spirit and love on yourself. It is time for the real you to rise and be empowered. The latent you.
Your God-given destiny was always only to be the person you were created to be! If what you “do” allows you to be and express that unique, original masterpiece then it is true to your destiny. If it does not permit that, then extricate yourself (responsibly) as soon as you can. “Life is about making an impact more than an income!”
God simply asks for your unconditional collaboration.
