“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:39)
When the waves of life, recklessly crash into your boat, it is your choice to either focus on God or the storm. Your selection will either cause you to shipwreck or successfully navigate through life’s course. When the waves of life seem to get out of control, attempting to sink your ship, stay focused on what God says.
Both His Logos and Rhema Word. Your ship may be in the water surrounded by the waves and headwinds of life, choose not to veer off course, stay focused. Don’t sink by succumbing to fear, doubt, anxiety and unbelief. Don’t allow the waves of life to overthrow your faith. Your God is bigger than the waves. God has given you Authority to conquer the waves and navigate through the storm. His Word has defeated every obstacle and battle of life, it’s up to you to take hold to His Word and to use It to navigate through every storm of life.
Remember, when the storms of life rise, they do not have to defeat you. God has given you Authority to take Dominion over the storm and to tell them to cease and desist. The storms may rise – But they have no Authority to sink your ship. God is with you and in you. He wants you to trust Him and know that through Him you will conquer the storm.
Know That The Lord Will Fight For You
“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14)
Trust God. When the enemy rages and attempts to trample upon your territory, remember that God has not called you to be defeated by the tactics of the enemy. God wants you to win. God will fight for you – if you let Him. When you take your hands off and allow God to put His hands on your situation, He will fight your battle. This battle belongs to The Lord. With God, you will not be defeated. Don’t try to fight the battle alone – God is with you, engage His Army. When God is for you, who can stand against you? No one. God is your Battle Ax. God is your Shield. God is your Provider. God is your Protector. Trust Him. Trust that He’s got you every step of the way.
He Is Jehovah Shalom
“Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah–shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi–ezrites.” (Judges 6:24)
Build a place of Peace. Create an environment of Peace by inviting His Peace. Surround your home with God’s Peace. Build and establish His Word upon your heart. Choose to Focus on Him no matter the situation. Choose to allow God’s Peace to overtake you and consume you. Deliberately focus on His Word. Peace is a choice.
When you surrender your thoughts, ways, plans and actions to God, He’ll lead you to a place of Peace, Productivity and Success – His Peace surpasses. It is your decision to either build altars of Peace upon your heart or you can choose to worry, magnifying your cares and building altars of fear, worry, cares, doubts and anxiety. It’s your choice to choose to focus on God’s Word or magnify and idolize the problem or situation – allowing yourself to be crushed by fear’s weight.
Your Faith Hath Made Thee Whole
“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:34)
When the waves of life seem to constantly press against your door, and it seems as if relief is impossible, sometimes you have to press your faith through the crowds and clutter of life, pushing past obstacles and knocking down the walls of the seemingly impossible – connecting to God – reaching your Promise of Peace and Wholeness.
This woman with the issue of blood had utilized all her resources, intellect and ability to solve her problem. When everything around you seems to be pressing you down, and you’re all out of possibilities and options – cling onto God. Matter of fact, cling to God as your first option. Press through the crowd. Ignore the noise of life and seek Him for the answer. He is, and has always been Your Solution. When you find Him, you’ll find Peace. In Christ you’re made Whole.
Peace From God….Not The World
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
When your Peace comes from God, no one can take It away. When you rest in God, knowing that He’s got the situation under control, He will Grace you with His Peace that will Still the storm. Your answer can be found in His Peace. It is through the Peace of God where success can be found. It is in the Peace of God where your faith is strengthened. It is in God’s Peace where Hope is restored and His Love is renewed. Find God’s Peace in your situation. His Peace will satisfy you. His Peace will nourish you. His Peace will strengthen you. His Peace will cover you. Find His Peace and He’ll navigate you through every storm of life.
God’s Peace Will Bypass Your Circumstance
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
When we face the problems of life, it is important not to let the problem(s) drown out the Voice of God. When we idolize our cares, magnifying them greater than God, we exalt and esteem our problem(s) higher than God’s Word. Our Hope can be found in His Word. Our Peace can be found in Him. Our Rest can be found in Him.
When we choose to solely base our hope, peace, joy, strength or rest in anything, or in anyone other than Christ we idolize a false god and devalue Christ’s redemptive work on the cross. He bore the burden. Christ is greater than your problem. Christ is bigger than your pain. He is Peace in chaos. He is direction in confusion. He will give you Rest if you will trust Him with your whole heart. Focus on His Word. Don’t idolize the pain or problem of the past. Christ is the Answer. He is Peace in the storm.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)
