A man sings both parts of “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion and stuns America’s Got Talent judges when he performs!
Marcelito Pomoy
Marcelito Pomoy won the Pilipinas Got Talent 2011 with his unique and incredible voice. At the age of seven, his mother left him after his father was imprisoned, making him an orphan and homeless at a young age. For years, he tried to find his family and get them back together again. His success at PGT was televised nationwide and opened a window for helping him find his family.

From an orphaned boy who once lived in the streets, he became a local celebrity in the Philippines after his big win in Pilipinas Got Talent. But that’s not the end goal for Marcelito, on this season of America’s Got Talent: The Champions, he is showcasing his talent to the world!
The Prayer
On January 12, Marcelito stepped on the stage of America’s Got Talent and stunned everyone with his wonderful performance! He performed both the vocal duet of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion in the song “The Prayer.”
As he started to sing the first verse with a woman’s voice, everyone was surprised by what they are hearing. Howie Mendell asked if that was really his voice as he sang Celine Dion’s first line of the song. He surprised them even more when he transitioned his voice as to sings Andrea Bocelli’s part.
America’s Got Talent
As he ended his performance, the judges and the audience gave him a standing ovation!
“I want to see something different, something unique, and Marcelito, you just gave that to us.” Alesha Dixon commented on her performance.
However, he did not receive the last golden buzzer from Howie Mendell’s. But, all the judges loved his performance and even urged the “super fans” to vote for him.
