As I was laying in bed thinking about an article to write that would encourage the readers. I could only reflect on my own life and the season I am in right now. I felt the Holy Spirit impress the phrase “The Valley of the Shadow of Death”. There are seasons that feel like they are going to swallow us entirely. Seasons that are so crushing that we feel like death is knocking at our door. David went through such a season in the scripture. In the famous Psalm 23:4,
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
The Valley: David

Promised Land
I want you to meditate on this. That In seasons of great suffering and pain that the Holy Spirit is near. I don’t care what you are going through you can go before the throne in prayer and call upon the Lord and he will answer you. For some, your valley might be a death of a family member, a divorce, or the loss of a job. As bad as your valley is just know there is Glory after the Valley. After your wilderness, there is a promised land of power and presence. God has not left you. This is something I have needed to hear daily. As my own world has fallen apart. That’s why this verse in Psalm 23 has been my constant strength. Because it declares He Is With Us.
This is a powerful concept to understand. Because In seasons of suffering and pain that sometimes consumes us. It feels like we are all alone like God has forgotten about us. We in these seasons feel forsaken by God like Job.
Job 13:15 says, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.”
The Valley: Job
Job was a righteous man that feared the Lord. He did nothing wrong but a sudden Valley of The Shadow of Death knocked at his door. He lost everything his wealth, his children, and his health. Many might feel like your in a Job season as I have. You might be at the point of death, but know this you shall live and not die to declare the works of the Lord. You will come out of this season with a greater anointing, faith, and testimony. I want to remind you of how the story of Job ended.
Job 42:10 says, “And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
I feel this in my heart for many that are reading. This season will bring you closer to God. Out of this season will come beauty and Glory. You will laugh again. You will survive and you will see the restoration of the Lord. Though your world might seem like it’s falling apart now. It won’t stay like that, God is restoring your fortunes. You will have a testimony that will impact many. And you will declare the goodness of God In the land of the living. You will see greater anointing. And you will walk in greater authority and see the hand of God snatch you out of the Valley.
