This great, miraculous story will make you realize God’s goodness. Toni and David Ezpinoza from McAllen, Texas received heartbreaking news that changed their lives. David was diagnosed with an illness and according to his doctors, only 10% of his heart is operating. He needs a heart transplant as soon as possible.
“The DeBakey Heart Institute in Houston gave us hope, but also no guarantee. They told us that the transplant list was long, and I might not make it to the top in time.” David said Today.
Toni and David are not an ordinary couple.
Even though they are going through this heartbreaking tragedy, they still manage to have faith in God. Toni asked for help and prayers from their family, friends, and most of all their spiritual community.
They all rallied together to pray. Toni asked them to pray for a new heart for David so that he could have a successful transplant. But later on, she realized that there’s something seemed off in her prayers. It seemed as though she was praying for someone to die so that her husband can live.
Toni felt the convictions from God and she changed her prayers. Instead of praying for a new heart, she asked God to completely heal her husband. And she is continuing to ask Him for a sign.
She asked God to show her a sign that He would answer her prayers by making it snow in McAllen, Texas on Christmas day. This prayer seemed almost impossible because Mcallen, Texas. The city is only about 9 miles from the Mexican border, the area hadn’t received snow on Christmas for the past 109 years.
“But my dear wife with great faith, she remained resolved. At 11:45 PM on Christmas Eve, the skies opened up and it began to snow. She ran outside and looked up and all she could say was ‘Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!’”, David recalled.
When Toni experienced that first snow, she knew that God will heal David.
Her faith is just so inspiring. You can really see that she truly believes in God’s healing power. Because of her faith and unceasing prayers, David is now healthy.
God is a miracle-working God.
