Christian athlete Tim Tebow shares a powerful message for single Christians saying that they don’t need to wait.
Oftentimes, what people advise to Christian singles is to wait for the person whom God sent. However, the Christian celebrity Tim Tebow has a different perspective on Christian singleness and waiting. On a Facebook video post, he shared a powerful message to every Christian single.
“You don’t need to wait and you don’t need to be patient,” Tim firmly said. “You need to wait for that person but in life, you’re not waiting at all.”
The husband of Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh then continued to explain why Christian singles should not just wait for their partner. He elaborated that during this season of singleness, we should pursue God and our passion.
“You’re going after your passion, you’re going pursuing God,” he added.
Tim then explained his point by comparing our Christian life to a sports game.
“You’re not sitting on the sidelines, you’re playing the game. But eventually, you’re gonna have a teammate in that game. So it does change the game a little bit, but it’s not like you’re going from the sidelines onto the field. You’re already playing the game.”
The 33-year-old Christian personality then urged the singles to pursue what God has prepared for them.
“We need to have that mindset of, ‘I’m preparing, I’m pursuing, what God has on my life, what God has called me to, the purposes, the passion, the meaning.’”
Tim ended his powerful message by emphasizing that our purpose doesn’t start when we get married, it started when God created us.
“You don’t get to start your purpose when you get married. Your purpose started when you were born… When you get married then you get to share your purpose with someone else.”
