Fresh off of her 2019 Grammy wins for best Gospel album of the year and best gospel performance/song for her album, Hiding Place, Tori Kelly continues her journey of faith in her latest album, Inspired By True Events.
In the song, “Your Words”, Tori wrote about the loss of her grandfather and the grieving process she encountered during the very vulnerable time in her life and how it helped her to find strength in her faith.
Saints lift their voices (No, no, no, no, no, no)
As they welcome you home (Welcome you home), yeah
The streets are now gold for you
And God is now holding you
And you’ll never be alone” – Tori Kelly
Kelly’s 2015 debut album, Unbreakable Smile, came in at #2 on the Billboard 200 and her singles “Nobody Love,” “Should Have Been Us” and “Hollow” all went on to become Gold-certified singles. She also received a 2016 GRAMMY nomination and recognized as a breakthrough artist at Billboard’s 2015 Women in Music ceremony.
Tori is a firm believer and has been very open about her faith from the beginning of her career. She is a positive influence on young girls and will continue to succeed in her industry.
