TPS (Tazpit Press Service) – Israel’s News Agency and the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration between the two news agencies.
TPS CEO Amotz Eyal met with Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov and the two signed the documents at a special event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Under the agreement, the agencies will exchange information on a daily basis.
This is TPS’ first official cooperation with a foreign news agency.
“Proud and excited to sign a cooperation agreement with the Azerbaijan News Agency,” Eyal said on Facebook.
“The Israeli TPS agency begins today to provide Azerbaijan with the news from Israel. and as I said at the signing ceremony, I believe it is another step towards the promotion of the cooperation between the countries,” he added.
Aslanov noted that Azerbaijan and Israel enjoy close cultural and historical ties and said this agreement is an “ample opportunities for information partnership.”
