On Sunday, May 3rd “The UK Blessing” was released. As I listened to it, I sensed the fragrance of Jesus flooding the nation. It’s very moving as over 65 churches and movements have come together online to sing the Aaronic blessing over the UK.
As the blurb says ‘our buildings may be closed but the church is very much alive.’
It reminds me of the words of Martin Smith’s song ‘Did You Hear the Mountains Tremble?’ ‘When the streams come together as one.’ The UK Blessing is getting out on local Facebook pages and street WhatsApp groups.
What if this blessing was released over every nation in the world? It’s all part of Habakkuk 2:14 , “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. The knowledge of his glory is covering the earth.”

The UK Blessing YouTube channel explains the the heart of the project in saying, “The Blessing UK — At this unique and challenging time in the United Kingdom over 65 churches and movements, representing hundreds of others, have come together online to sing a blessing over our land. Standing together as one, our desire is that this song will fill you with hope and encourage you. But the church is not simply singing a blessing, each day we’re looking to practically be a blessing. Many of the churches included in this song have assisted with supplying over 400,000 meals to the most vulnerable and isolated in our nation since COVID-19 lockdown began. This alongside phone calls to the isolated, pharmacy delivery drops and hot meals to the NHS frontline hospital staff. Our buildings may be closed but the church is very much alive!”
