A video of a 77-year-old woman has been circulating online. Her powerful choice of getting baptized despite her frail condition brings a compelling message to all believers in Christ.
Baptizing a 77-Year-Old Woman
Ryan Burton King is a proud brother to his fellow preacher and pastor, Regan Blanton King. And he shared his proud moments by posting a video on his Twitter account, showing Regan baptizing an elderly woman.
He said, “It has been an excellent day, but this video of my brother [Regan Burton King] baptizing a frail and elderly woman who is newly trusting in Christ, then picking her up and carrying her out of the baptismal pool, has made it.” Ryan ended it with a cry of praise to the Lord, “Blessed be the Lord!”

Meanwhile, Regan shared a tweet with the story behind the touching video. Apparently, the woman is named Susan, who is now 77 years old. The pastor of The Angel Church revealed that Susan was Jewish, born in a Roman Catholic country, and later became agnostic.
But today, she trusts and proclaims Jesus as her “Messiah and Lord of her life.”

Moreover, Susan appears to suffer from Parkinson’s disease. But despite her weak condition, she decided to get water baptized as a public expression of her faith in Jesus.
Susan was not worried because Regan was with her, supporting her carefully. In the video, Regan slowly dipped Susan underwater and lifted her up cautiously.
“As surely as the devil is a liar, he is also a loser. Jesus always wins,” proclaimed Regan.
Indeed, Jesus wins. No age or physical condition can stop Jesus from letting Susan know she is loved and saved. And Susan’s bravery tells us that Jesus is worthy of all our devotion.
