A little girl receives a very special gift from her Grandma and her reaction is priceless. Tears of joy flow the moment she sees her very first Bible. Seeing a child appreciate the Word of God like this is so beautiful.
Knowing Jesus as a child is one of the greatest blessings a child could ever have. The bible will not only teach a child about God’s love, it will also serve as a powerful tool and guide throughout their life. Having this at the start of life is a gift.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
Her love for God
This little girl is like a deer thirsty for God’s word. It is so inspiring to see her longing for God’s message and instruction. Surely this passionate girl will grow up to be a faithful follower of Christ.
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14-15)
Let’s pray for more children of God who will passionately love the Word and proclaim it to the nations. Children are our future so let’s make sure they’re equipped with the full armor of God.
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:13-17)
