Prophetic Christian leader offers advice to Christian parents’ recurring dilemma of ‘why their kids are not serving God, after raising them in church.”
Raising The Kids In Church
Jeremiah Johnson pens a touching letter for Christian parents burdened with their children’s behavior towards God. He revealed that during the last 15 years of ministering to the church, many parents poured out their hearts about their kids.
And most of them have the same cry: “Why are my kids not serving God after raising them in church?”

Jeremiah felt the burden of God along with the thousand parents who have the same concern. So, he contended for an answer from God, and God responded.
Living In Church And Living In Christ
Jeremiah recalled how God woke him up at 3:33 am with a revelation. God told him, “Satan is not afraid of anyone who lives IN CHURCH, but he is terrified of those who have learned how to live IN CHRIST!”
He wrote, “As I sat in that hotel room after hearing the voice of God, great sadness swept over my soul. I realized in that moment what a great deception had swept over the body of Christ. Parents have fallen into the trap of dropping their kids off at youth group and kids church hoping the teacher would invest in their students at the expense of them having to actually disciple their own children in Christ while they were at home.”
Jeremiah compels parents that more than just raising their kids in church, they have to be the church inside their homes.
“All of us Christian parents have to ask ourselves, “Are we/did we raise our kids’ in church’ and just expect them to magically serve God the rest of their lives because they heard good teaching in Sunday school/youth group OR are we actually teaching them how to live “in Christ” through discipleship and living by example in our own homes?”
He ended his message with an encouragement for parents to be intentional with their parenting and discipleship.
“I’m convinced that the awakening and revival that so many are longing for is actually going to begin in their living rooms and at dining room tables with healthy marriage, family, and sacrificial parenting.”
