I sense the Father had a message for you that was so, so important to Him. If we had been with Jesus when His dear friend Lazarus had died we would probably have cried, “Jesus. SOS. Emergency. Call 911, let’s go now as fast as we can.”
If it had been in this present day the scene would probably have gone like this: A flurry of all the disciples’ iphones going off with texts and phone calls flying back and forth. Waking Jesus in the middle of the night having already booked His plane ticket, a car ready to rush Him to the nearest airport. Bags packed. And imagine our response when He stayed where He was for three days!
Our hearts would have been confused and perplexed thinking – ‘He’s late, He’s late. Doesn’t He care? What are we going to tell Mary and Martha?’
And the Father said, “Tell My beloved children that I am not condemning them for crying out to Me with the question ‘Why?’ when they feel pushed to their very limited in this season of transition. Crying, ‘Daddy, Abba, why are You not moving, why are You late? Why are You late?’ When like Lazarus it seems that all their promises aren’t even just dying, it looks like they are dead. ‘Can’t you hear my SOS, Father? Why aren’t You moving on my behalf?’
“Even My beloved, only begotten Son cried out to Me with the question: ‘Why?’ And many of My children have been crying out to Me with the question ‘Why?’ in this time of transition and they are feeling condemned.”
And then He said, “My love is so great for you, beloved child. I am the Father of compassion, My understanding of you is inexhaustible. I knitted your parts together in your mother’s womb. You were and still are My dream. Discern the enemy circumspectly in this season, beloved. He is the accuser of the brethren and the father of lies. The condemnation of your heart. In the Garden of Gethsemene, I watched My beloved, adored Son cry out in His agony and His anguish. His trauma affecting His soul to the extent that He sweated blood and on the Cross, when He cried out in desperation and abandonment – ‘Eloi, Eloi, Sabachtani . . . Father, Father, why have You forsaken Me?’ And I wept.
“His why came from the depths of the desperate anguish in His soul of seeming abandonment and I looked on Him and wept as I loved Him and so too, today, beloved child, I look upon you and My heart is overwhelmed with compassion for you. For the enemy of your soul has sought to accuse your heart that your why was out of rebellion, but beloved child of My heart, your why was like My Son’s, out of the pain that in your earthly view you cannot fully comprehend.
“But, child of My heart, I tell you today that you see through a veil darkly for My rainbow of promise is now breaking through the clouds, for I am about to bring you out of the wilderness. Yes, you have cried out to Me, ‘Father, Father, how long, how long?’
“And I am stirred with compassion for you. I surely have never abandoned you and even as My Son’s greatest anguish came before His resurrection, so, My child, it shall be with you. And even as Lazarus was in the tomb and it seemed that Jesus was late, too late, death came before resurrection. I tell you the resurrection of your dreams is in the seeming silence of the glaring delay – I am moving people and circumstances behind the scenes.
“Oh, trust Me, My child. Trust Me that even as Jesus said to Lazarus,‘Come forth,’ after it seemed that every hope had gone, trust Me that I am about to move in acceleration upon your life and say: ‘Lazarus come forth, promises come forth, dreams and visions that seem to have died, now come forth. Hearts’ desires that have seemingly been delayed and deferred, now come forth. I have not forsaken you. I have not forgotten you. I am about to come to your town to stand outside your tomb and cry, ‘Lazarus come forth.’ Your resurrection, your restitution, your restoration is finally here. Trust Me. Trust Me. Trust Me, beloved child, I will not be late. Love, your Abba Father.”
