Worship is our weapon.
The Power Of Worship
Worship has always been something so powerful. It’s your way of showing admiration towards God and takes you closer to His heart. When you worship Jesus, it’s inevitable to experience His presence. I heard once that if you’re in distress, having a bad dream, for example, to shout “Hallelujah” because God will always come for His praises.
More Than An Expression
I’ve applied this entire concept to my life. What I’ve come to realize is that praise unto God is more than just an expression. It’s a lifestyle. If worship is our weapon, we have to take it everywhere in order to defend ourselves from the enemy’s ways. How do we do this you ask? Here are a few ways to go deeper with God, allowing worship to flow out of you in anything you do.
Worship Is A Lifestyle
Journaling is great. Sometimes a pen in hand can be easier than internalizing everything. This can easily be a way you praise God on a day-to-day basis. Second, reading your bible. One of the best compliments you can give to God is reading His word. It shows reverence to who He is and shows admiration towards Him. It’s the ultimate example of pursuing a relationship with Him. Last, but not least, singing unto the Lord.
Words Have Power
The power of song is incredible. Words have power, and turning them into a hymn is anointing waiting to overflow! Something happens to the atmosphere when you begin to sing unto God. There’s transformation, breakthrough, and healing. Oftentimes, I think people forget that God actually wants to be in our presence, just as much as we should want to be in His. He wants you to want to spend time with Him!
Worship is your weapon. Take it with you everywhere you go and never let it go. Remember, if all you have left is words, shout “Hallelujah” God will meet you right where you are.
